Red means go!

The next time someone honks at me for not turning right on a green light when there are pedestrians are crossing the street, I think I will put my car into reverse. Okay, I won’t. But seriously, do they want me to run those people over so that they can get to work faster? It seems like the only reason anyone ever honks on me is because I’m avoiding doing something illegal. Like stopping at a stop sign or red light, or not turning right in front of a bus… WTF.

(A search for “run pedestrians over” on Google leads to an image on Flikr with the title “Please don’t run over pedestrians. They cross here.” I disagree. The crosswalk in the photo leads to a Church of Scientology branch…)

  1. On my way home from work in the morning there are these kiddies that are I “think” heading to school and if I happen to stop, waiting to turn left on a green in order to not get smacked by on comming traffic, they always start honking or cursing at me.

I’d suggest filling a paper bag with nails and the next time somebody decides that your nice, polite, LEGAL decision to stop for a pedi annoys them enough to honk at you, you drop that sucker out your window therefor, busting it open, speading the nails all over the road and blowing at least one of their tires, if your lucky you will get 2 of them and they will be calling for a tow instead of a 15 minute tire change. Fair trade I think. ;) Let me know how it works out.
