I just formatted Vista off my notebook and put XP back on. I was stuck in the honeymoon period for a while, the fun of the stolen widgets, the purty Aero interface, the fun of something new... but then all the kinks came out. Some programs wouldn't work with UAC turned on, some wouldn't work with it turned off. I'd boot up and start to type my password then the attention went elsewhere and I had to click in the p/w box to continue. There was taking longer to get to places I usually go... The final straw was finding out they decided to not renew their license to HyperTerminal. I looked it up and it said they decided it was no longer needed, and if I needed to do modem things I could use telnet or modem properties. They were wrong, oh so wrong, and I don't care if I can download a free version of HyperTerminal... Vista is now dead to me.
